Decoherent States

Audiovisual installation 2025

Decoherent States translates quantum uncertainty into tangible metaphors through an installation where light and sound oscillate in latent states, evoking subatomic particle behavior until interaction triggers decoherence, revealing vibrant observable materialities. The work comprises sixteen wooden modules tuned to different pitches, activated by a quantum logic-based generative algorithm that produces sonic and luminous iterations in probabilistic collapse patterns that never repeat identically. Each activation manifests one possibility among many, a non-linear decision in time, inviting exploration of the indeterminate and suggesting profound connections to existence's essential fabric
